실명이 확인된 사람들에게만 가상화폐 거래를 허용해주는 거래 실명제가 이달 30일을 기해 시행된다.

기존에 거래에 활용되던 가상계좌는 사용 중지되고 외국인과 민법상 미성년자는 실명확인이 돼도 가상화폐 거래를 할 수 없다.

금융위원회와 금융감독원, 금융정보분석원(FIU)은 23일 정부서울청사에서 가상통화 취급업소 현장 조사 결과 및 자금세탁 방지 가이드라인 관련 브리핑을 하면서 이같이 밝혔다.

가상통화 취급업소의 거래 은행과 동일한 은행의 계좌를 보유하고 있는 이용자는 해당 계좌를 통해 입출금을 하게 된다.

가상통화 취급업소의 거래 은행과 동일한 은행의 계좌를 보유하고 있지 않은 이용자는 가상통화 취급업소에 출금은 할 수 있지만 추가 입금은 불가하다.

은행은 취급업소(거래소)가 계좌를 사적으로 활용하는지 감시하고, '실명확인 입출금 서비스'를 이용하지 않는 등 자금세탁 위험성이 높다고 판단되면 금융거래를 거절할 수 있다. 사실상 해당 거래소의 계좌를 폐쇄할 수 있다는 의미다. (연합뉴스)
